Job Description

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with an entity of a large, publicly held industry leader in Irvine in their search for a Staff Accountant who is looking to join a successful team where they will have opportunities to train and develop. This role will support accounting operations in AP and AR in addition to general ledger.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the day to day accounting of multiple areas including reconciliations, accounting for bank reconciliations, accruals for month end close and project accounting.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Participate in an accurate and timely monthly close process that includes preparation of journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and SOX.
Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable for both corporate and project accounting.
Preparation of account and bank reconciliations and analysis and related journal entries
Perform analysis and prepare reports of timely and accurate financial information for management
Prepares support for bank and external auditor requests
Support corporate accounting team as needed

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred)
1-4+ years of experience in general accounting functions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel
Basic understanding of GAAP
Hands-on, detailed oriented, organized and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Integrity and trust
