Job Description

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a reputable and profitable private equity firm that is looking to add a VP of Tax to their team due to growth. 

In this role you will be directly responsible for overseeing tax compliance and strategy for the PE firm's portfolio companies. You will partner with the SVP of Tax along with their CFO. 

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Help portfolio companies maintain their tax functions to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting
  • Review portfolio company P&L and tax returns to determine any tax leakage and look for tax efficiencies that should be implemented
  • Prior to and once a portfolio company has been purchased and / or restructured, work with the legal team, portfolio company accounting team and external tax compliance providers to ensure their understanding of the transaction is captured correctly and accurately.  Review the portfolio company tax reporting to make sure it is reflecting the nuances of the transaction(s) that took place and review capitalization tables for accuracy.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • CPA preferred
  • Min of 5 years of in house tax experience coupled with prior public accounting experience
