Job Description

Title: Staff Accountant 
Location: El Segundo
Our client is a well- known investment firm looking to add a staff level accountant to their corporate accounting team.              Position Summary
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven accounting, organizational, administrative and communication skills, and an interest in private equity and family office industries. The individual selected for this position will be part of an accounting team that provides accounting and financial support to the firm’s senior managing directors.

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Communicate directly with internal team and vendors to effectively meet the requirements of the position
  • Process accounts payable for domestic entities
  • Prepare detailed schedules summarizing cash activities and balances
  • Reconcile and maintain various general ledger accounts
  • Support month-end close processes and generation of quarterly reporting statements
  • Working with team to improve financial procedures
  • Other special projects as needed
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks and payables software
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail and possess a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • CPA certification or candidate preferred
