Job Description

With a focus on innovation, integrity, and client satisfaction, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accounting Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CPA professional looking to contribute to the success of a forward-thinking financial services organization.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports. Working closely with the Controller and finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and yearly financial audit.  The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public accounting, financial management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Internal Controls:
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Monitor compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
  • Identify and address control deficiencies.
  • Audit Support:
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audit inquiries.
  • Address audit findings and implement recommendations.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Recommend and implement best practices in financial reporting and controls. SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation required.
    • Proven experience in a financial management role within the financial services industry or public accounting with an emphasis on financial service clients. .
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Five to ten years post graduate experience
    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
