Overview:
We’re seeking a sharp and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a high-performing finance team with a focus on cash accounting and treasury operations. This is a hands-on role with a critical responsibility for managing cash reconciliations across a high volume of bank accounts, helping drive timely financial reporting and overall balance sheet accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily and monthly cash reconciliations across ~150 bank accounts, ensuring completion by Business Day 2 deadlines.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to banking activity.
  • Monitor and maintain cash as a key balance sheet item, ensuring accuracy and timely updates that feed revenue and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth treasury operations and accurate cash flow reporting.
  • Utilize Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUM functions, etc.) to support backend accounting processes and automation tools.
  • Understand and apply key accounting principles (e.g., treatment of AP with debit balances due to outstanding checks).
  • Support audit requests and provide documentation related to cash activity and reconciliations.
Qualifications:
  • 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with cash reconciliation or treasury experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort with high-volume and deadline-driven environments.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues with minimal oversight.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-trained team structure.
  • Public accounting backgrounds welcomed; cash-focused experience preferred.
