Position Duties
Â
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Â
- Ensure that vendors are paid in accordance with company policy and in adherence to internal controls for the AP function
- Implement and improve upon existing AP processes and systems
- Develop and analyze KPI metrics to ensure ongoing productivity and efficiency of processes
- Interview, hire, train, and review staff
- Prepare/Manage payment transactions globally (ACH, checks, and international/domestic wires)
- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare reports and analysis as requested by Senior Management
- Participate in the recurring month-end processes, including the management of AP cut-offs
- Maintain vendor records
- Tax Levy
- Prepare 1099-Misc tax forms
- Assist with legal requests
- Serve as a resource to staff, department managers and others for interpreting policies, procedures and regulations relating to A/P
- Special projects as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- This position requires the incumbent to have at least 5-7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Procurement, or a related field
- Distribution/Logistics collection experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required.
- Experience with Netsuite preferred
- Skill in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow-up when responses are needed
