Our client has partnered with us to locate an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting for 6 surgery centers that are part of this organization's growing portfolio of entities. This position will supervise 3-4 senior accountants and manage the financial consolidation for the 6 surgery centers and one hospital that roll up within this organization.
Job Description:
· Oversee and manage the daily accounting and operations of the MSO that governs 6 surgery centers and an additional orthopedic hospital
· Support and eventually oversee the financial consolidation of 6+ entities
· Manage and delegate to 3-4 senior accountants and 2 AP professionals
· Support GL Accounting, the month-end close process, and shared services, including supervision and management of 2 AP professionals
· Serve as secondary point of contact for all audit & tax procedures, serving as a liaison to the co-sourced CPA firm
· Maintain internal controls over financial reporting and ensure that GAAP is closely followed
· Ensure compliance with internal procedures, controls, and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in either Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with 1+ years of experience in managing and developing others within an accounting/finance team
- High degree of literacy with the financial statements, including consolidation experience
- Audit experience highly preferred, with additional value placed on audits of not-for-profit clients
- Experience with Lawson and/or Oracle software preferred, or another comparable ERP system
- A background in healthcare/hospital would be helpful for this role
