Job Description
Our client is a $50 million manufacturer of consumer goods that is in need of an accounting manager due to high growth. The position will report directly to the CFO and will have one to two direct reports. The company has an excellent culture and a strong leadership team. The company projects double digit growth rates for the next five years and is investing in its accounting structure to take the company to the next level.
Specific Duties:
- Oversee month-end closing process including journal entries, accruals, reserve analysis and financial statement preparation
- Assist in the analysis of financial information and operating results for material variances
- Prepare the monthly actual to budget financial analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Identify and lead accounting improvement projects to automate and streamline accounting processes
- Stay up to date on accounting rules and regulations that may relate to the company
- Supervise and train staff as required
- Intermediate Excel experience required for report preparation.
- Other projects as assigned by the CFO
Required Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Five plus years experience in accounting with experience in financial statement preparation
- Manufacturing and inventory accounting highly preferred
- Interediate to advanced excel
- Excellent communication skills
