About the Role
As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations. You will manage a small team of accounting professionals and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This role reports directly to the Controller and offers opportunities for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts and manage cash flow.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with inventory accounting and cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
