Job Description


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our corporate accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee the month-end close process, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, and provide leadership to a team of accountants. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for business transactions and initiatives.
  • Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
  • Stay updated on new accounting pronouncements and lead the implementation of relevant changes.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function, including leveraging technology and automation tools.
  • Assist in ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).
  • 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. Experience in public accounting (Big Four or national firm) and/or a publicly traded company is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and leadership levels.
