Accounts Payable Specialist

One of our top retail clients is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on an interim basis. Manage the end to end Accounts Payable process for all entities. This is a great company in the Irvine area that is recognized nationwide!

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process all forms of payment for vendors and customer refunds including data entry, coding/allocating invoices to ledger accounts, and payment.
  • Resolve all issues relating to Accounts Payable – i.e. work with internal/external customers on research items; stop payments; vendor creation and maintenance.
  • Run daily AP aging report, monitor bank suspect check list and take appropriate action.
  • Account statement reconciliations and electronic document filing and storage.
  • High volume invoice auditing & processing
  • Review T&E reports in Concur for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Provide assistance to team members and management as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associates Degree or equivalent required (Bachelor’ s degree desirable)
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
  • Financial services industry experience, an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills
  • Experience with Great Plains preferred.
