Chief Financial Officer
Job Description
This position will play a crucial role in growing the organization and will work directly with the Founder/CEO.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversees and maintains the books and records of the companies.
- Prepares financial forecasts and budgets
- Prepares Profit Planning and Operational Analysis (PPOA) to provide insight to the Executive team including pricing/rates impacts.
- Supports the Executive team with both the rolling 12 month and 3 year Business Planning, including strategies, goals and priorities
- Performs Contractual Risk Management from a financial perspective including key contract terms and obligations, cash impact, insurance requirements, penalties, warranties, LD’s and Consequential damages.
- Develops and maintains key 3rd party relationships including accountants, bankers, insurance brokers, sureties, ESOP advisors, ESOP valuators, other employee benefit providers
- Overseas the ESOP, 401K, Health and other Employee Benefit offerings
- Oversees other back-room support functions including – IT, HR and Administration
- Analyze gross margin, net profitability and cash flow of new entities
- Determine best ways to allocate overhead across the entire organization, as well as foster policies, processes and internal controls that support divisional and geographic accounting and financial reporting.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Min 12 to 15 yrs of progressive accounting experience
- Min of 5 yrs of construction experience, ESOP experience a plus but not required
- CPA would be great, but not required
