Contract Role: Senior Tax Accountant (3+ Months)
Overview: ARG is partnering with a local CPA tax firm in Irvine and is currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for a contract engagement spanning over 3 months. This role entails crucial responsibilities within tax operations and client support.
Responsibilities: The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for:
- Preparing intricate tax returns and conducting comprehensive tax research.
- Addressing tax notices from various taxing authorities in a timely manner.
- Reviewing and evaluating tax data provided by clients, engaging in direct client communication to handle general or intricate tax inquiries.
- Identifying, anticipating, and adeptly resolving complex tax issues while providing valuable recommendations.
- Guiding and supervising tax staff in tax return preparation and research.
Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with:
- 3-5 years of prior public accounting experience.
- CPA certification or in pursuit of CPA candidacy.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- A diligent work ethic committed to delivering exceptional client service.
- Attributes of integrity, reliability, and strong teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual tax return preparation, coupled with expertise in tax planning.
- Capability in generating interim and annual financial statements.
- Experience managing multiple client engagements concurrently.
- Preferably, previous basic supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks; familiarity with Lacerte tax software (preferred but not mandatory).
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship, both currently and in the future.
