Job Description
Our client is a $500m services company based in Irvine, This person will work report directly to the CFO and have management responsibilities for an accounting team of 20 employees.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Accounting Staff to ensure the efficient and compliant execution of accounting functions as per company policies and internal controls.
- Maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations within prescribed schedules and in accordance with company policies.
- Lead the annual audit process and maintaining meticulous records with accordance to GAAP+
- Production of financial statements and reports aligned with company timelines and operational requirements.
- Contribution to annual budget formulation and oversight of capital expenditure approvals.
- Assistance to the GL Department during month-end closing procedures when necessary.
- Collaboration with division counterparts to enhance existing financial processes, adopt new technologies, and strengthen internal controls.
- Management of local, state, and federal reporting obligations alongside tax filings.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.S./B.A. degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance or Economics required; CPA is a plus.
- Position requires 5+ years of accounting management experience within a large ($300m+ Revenue) organization
- Strong Excel skills are required.
