Job Description

Controller – Property Accounting
Location: Orange County Area | On-site 5 days/week
Compensation: Up to $170K for top talent

Our client, a well-established affordable housing management company with 25+ years in business, is seeking a Controller to oversee property-level accounting for a portfolio of 80+ communities across Southern California.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of staff accountants (currently 8 total)
  • Oversee all property accounting functions and monthly financial reporting
  • Partner with owners, regional VPs, and leadership on financial needs
  • Implement process improvements and standardized training programs
  • Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements

What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Yardi experience preferred 
  • Affordable housing experience a plus, but not required
  • Ability to drive accountability and bring fresh ideas
