This family office role is supporting a retired private equity partner and is a 100% remote. Ideally, candidates will be based in the Pacific Standard Time Zone, but will consider other candidates within the US if they have significant family office experience.
As the family office controller, you will be directly responsible for all accounting duties for the family office. This role is for someone who likes to take the lead on projects and who is well organized and detailed. The principal values work/life balance and the role should not require more than 40 hours/week. This role is also great for working parents as the principal allows for flexible working hours.

Job Description
Alliance Resource Group is exclusively working with a family office looking to add a controller to their team. This family office role is supporting a retired private equity partner and is a 100% remote. Ideally, candidates will be based in the Pacific Standard Time Zone, but will consider other candidates within the US if they have significant family office experience.
As the family office controller, you will be directly responsible for all accounting duties for the family office. This role is for someone who likes to take the lead on projects and who is well organized and detailed. The principal values work/life balance and the role should not require more than 40 hours/week. This role is also great for working parents as the principal allows for flexible working hours.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage all banking, distributions, subscriptions, and overall expense management
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial packages that highlight key issues to principal
- Record, monitor, and maintain investment performance
- Manage external vendors including third party tax providers as well as external counsel
- Track and schedule annual gifts and charitable donations
- Take the lead on financial matters for multiple rental properties, including the construction of a new property
- Manage cybersecurity efforts
- Minimal oversight of family trust and work with external CPA's/attornies as needed
- Supervise payroll and benefits for the family office employees
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA licensure preferred
- 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience, with a min. of three years serving a family office

Prior to joining Alliance Resource Group, she was an Experienced Hire Recruiter for a large regional Public Accounting firm in Irvine.
As a huge animal advocate, Chloe volunteers her time to rescue dog organizations. She lives by the mantra "Adopt, Don't Shop" and encourages everyone to do the same.
