A well-established, PE-backed medical aesthetics company in Southern California is experiencing exciting growth and is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Controller to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to become the first in-house accounting professional and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial future.
About the Role:
As Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and finance, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll build the financial infrastructure from the ground up, implementing systems, processes, and controls to support the company's ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Own the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Strategic Partnership: Work closely with the CEO to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
- Data-Driven Insights: Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to inform decision-making across the organization.
- Compliance Champion: Ensure adherence to GAAP and all relevant tax regulations.
- Relationship Builder: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including bankers, insurance brokers, auditors, and tax advisors.
- CPA, MBA, or similar qualification
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3-5 years in a senior role
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Proficiency with accounting software and data analytics tools
- Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed environment is a major plus
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
