Job Description
Our client is a publicly traded healthcare organization located in South Orange County. They are looking to hire an additional member to their Revenue Accounting team. The ideal candidate is someone with a few years of accounting experience either within an organization specializing in revenue accounting or within two-three years of public accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing quarterly and annual U.S. tax provisions and footnote disclosures for SEC filings, following ASC 740 guidelines.
- Work with external accounting firms, review general ledger accounts, and compile information for tax provisions and income tax return preparation.
- Handle monthly and quarterly tax account reconciliations and create related journal entries.
- Provide necessary data for federal, state, REIT, and other tax filings.
- Conduct tax research and support various ad-hoc tax-related projects.
- Collaborate with the Fixed Assets Department to ensure accurate tax basis calculations each month.
- Calculate federal and state tax depreciation, maintaining fixed asset roll-forward records for tax purposes.
- Assist with tax credit, nexus, and E&P studies, including managing tax notices and helping to resolve related issues.
- Build strong partnerships across departments like Transactions, Legal, HR, Treasury, Real Estate, and Accounting to aid business functions.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of tax provisions under ASC 740.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- At least 2 years of direct or indirect experience in tax compliance, returns, accounting, or audit management.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $85,000–$105,000, plus potential eligibility for bonuses.
