Summary: The Development and Construction Senior Accountant will oversee and manage the accounting and financial operations for all development and construction projects undertaken by the company. They will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing financial analysis and insights, and implementing and maintaining accounting processes and controls.
Manage the accounting for development and construction projects, including project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Prepare monthly loan draw packages by working with the project managers and related financial institutions.
Collaborate with project managers regularly to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to support project manager decision-making.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including project cost detail, balance sheets, and income statements for each project.
Work with the Accounts Payable team to ensure invoices are processed timely and accurately.
Implement and maintain accounting processes and controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and GAAP standards.
Assist with the management of project cash flow, including monitoring project expenses and revenues
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including key building contractors and vendors, auditors, and financial institutions.
Contribute to the development and implementation of improvements to accounting and reporting processes, including accounting and financial reporting systems, to support the company's growth and expansion.
