Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

A dynamic and growing organization is seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to enhance and drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical processes. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, providing valuable financial insights and strategic recommendations to support key business decisions.

Location: Hybrid, Southern California
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial planning and analysis functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess business performance, trends, and key drivers.

  • Provide executive leadership with accurate performance reporting, variance analysis, and data-driven insights.

  • Collaborate with department heads to create a comprehensive budgeting process that aligns with business objectives.

  • Support strategic initiatives by developing and updating financial forecasts to guide decision-making.

  • Enhance financial processes, reporting, and analytics to improve operational efficiency.

  • Monitor key financial metrics and develop actionable recommendations to drive revenue growth and profitability.

  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, board meetings, and investor communications.

  • Lead and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

  • Partner with Accounting to ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • MBA or CFA preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills, including team management and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Insights).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and actionable manner.

  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive strategic financial initiatives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach.

  • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments.

  • Knowledge of industry-specific financial trends and best practices.

  • Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
