Senior Director, FP&A

ARG is partnered with a highly recognized international youth foundation seeking a finance Director with 8-13 years of experience. Leadership and communication are paramount for this role. 


Reporting to the CFO, The Senior Director of FP&A is responsible for supporting decision making across the organization through provision of financial information, analysis, and reporting; establishes and maintains enterprise-wide frameworks, templates, and standards for decision support and financial analysis to support organization; design/manage annual business planning process, including long-term planning, annual budget and reforecast.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner across departments to perform financial and business analysis of key financial initiatives; determine ROI, and make recommendations accordingly 
  • Initiate, create and manage financial models and establish BI tools used to set and measure key performance indicators 
  • Oversight of 2 finance and 3 accounting members (potentially up to 7 direct reports) from Manager and down
  • Analyze operating and financial results of the organization; determine segmentation strategies and spot trends/opportunities for improvement and action 
  • Lead development of quarterly, annual and long-range strategic, financial and cash flow plans and forecasts 
  • Oversees analysis and reporting against quarterly, annual and long term plans/forecasts and strategic investments
  • In collaboration with the CFO, identify and drive process improvements of organizational functions leveraging lean principles
  • Provide strategic direction of financial and data systems including implementation of upgrades and identification of new systems to support organization growth
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of org results to senior leadership and BOD
  • Participate in ad hoc data analysis, research and modeling for CFO & BOD
  • Assist in reporting and analysis for quarterly Board of Director meetings
  • Oversee accounting & compliance functions as needed –


  • 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning and reporting
  • Bachelor’ s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • Management experience is a plus
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with strong detail orientation
  • Ability to work independently, productively, and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate cross functionally and influence decision makers
  • Excellent initiative, with ability to effectively management multiple projects
  • Self-starter that adapts well to change
  • Working knowledge of financial theory, economics and US GAAP 
  • Ability to engage, motivate, coach, and mentor a team of 5+ Staff & Seniors
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to build strong departmental and organizational relationships
  • Experience with various financial systems
