Our client is a stable real estate organization in Orange County and this is a newly created role supporting both corporate and Principal's investments and reports to the AVP of Accounting . We are looking for an Accountant who has supported smaller organizations and very invested in the daily operations in addition to monthly reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves being hands-on and wants stability in their career. The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail and organization skills with excellent communication and technical skills. This individual must have the ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Controller with monthly financial reporting and quarterly investor reporting
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Own daily accounting including accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare variance analysis
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Assist in the preparation for the year end audit.
- Prepare annual reporting for third party entities and yearly tax compliance.
Knowledge/Experience
- 5+ years of general accounting experience including balance sheet and SG&A account reconciliations
- Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- MRI software a plus
- Industry experience is a plus ( investment, real estate, outsourced accounting, family office).

Born in Hollywood and raised in Los Angeles, Kyle was destined to be a star. When that did not work out, he did the next best thing and became a recruiter. After graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Kyle began his professional career working in accounting as an Assistant Controller and Controller for several companies in the surf industry. After a number of years working in accounting, he became an entrepreneur and developed two successful coffee-house locations in Orange County where he was the CFO (and head barista).
In 2003 Kyle again shifted his career and became a financial recruiter in the Bay area with a large national staffing company where he was responsible for building successful recruiting teams. Kyle joined Alliance Resource Group in 2009 as a Recruiting Manager.
Kyle is a proud parent of two girls, Maya and Sage, whom are attending college in San Francisco, CA and Paris, France. In his spare time, Kyle loves to fire up the BBQ after a good surf session.
