Join Our Consultant Role - Energy Risk Senior Specialist

We, at Alliance Resource Group, are thrilled to offer an opportunity for a talented and experienced Energy Risk Senior Specialist to join our client's team. This job is not with Alliance Resource Group but with one of our esteemed clients.
About the Role:
As an Energy Risk Senior Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing operational support for all trading and energy procurement activities. You will serve as a senior lead overseeing collateral holdings to manage credit exposure on Energy Procurement & Management, Transmission & Distribution, Operational Services, and Customer Service activities. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, Business Continuity Planning, Internal Audits, and Regulatory Compliance. Additionally, you will work closely with managers and other internal partners to develop presentations for the review of Risk Management policies and processes.
Qualifications:
To excel in this consultant role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost rates establishment, business case development, and variance analysis.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with energy contracts, risk management related to energy procurement, or the CAISO market.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience with macros, database queries.
- Familiarity with commodity trading systems such as Entegrate, Endur, or SAP.
Contract Period:
This is a project role that will run from August 7, 2023, to February 6, 2024, with the potential for extension based on project requirements.

The position is located in the beautiful San Gabriel Valley, offering a pleasant and accessible work environment.
