Fund Accountant
Job Description
This role will oversees all accounting function for a portfolio of funds and report to the CFO. This team offers good work/life balance as well as internal/upward mobility.
Job Description:
- Fund Accounting:
- Perform fund accounting duties for several funds as explained below.
- Review and reconcile transactions by performing cash and asset reconciliations. Escalate discrepancies based upon predetermined tolerances.
- Maintain and update fund sub-ledgers and general ledgers on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Calculate management fees, review Geneva output of interest, PIK, OID and corporate actions.
- Calculate capital calls and distributions and prepare investor capital call/distribution letters/statements.
- Prepare quarterly closing accounting packages.
- Prepare quarterly financial and investor capital account statements.
- Work on annual audit and tax work internally and with external accountants.
- Ad-hoc investor and management requests.
- Work with management on special projects, documenting procedures and performing additional analysis, as needed.
