Job Description


Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a large financial institution looking for a strong Fund Accounting Manager to oversee the Private Equity & Real Estate funds of their business. We are only considering public accountants for this position unless you have fund accounting experience. 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage the consolidated investor quarterly reports and annual financial statements process.
  • Manage the annual audit process and respond to audit inquiries.
  • Assist with preparation of annual investor conference materials.
  • Review quarterly and annual tax projection calculations.
  • Assist with the compliance of Partnership agreements.
  • Complete accounting for transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and loan closings including validating settlement statement, providing funding, and booking transaction.
  • Work with fund auditors, fund admins, custodians and prime brokers.
  • Respond to investor requests for information and inquiries, including preparation of account statements, debt and asset information, and audit confirmations.
  • Review debt compliance calculations and manage all necessary loan reporting requirements to lenders.
  • Review weekly cash projections.
  • Review bank reconciliations.
  • Initiate wire transfers.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated cash flow models.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA is preferred, not required
  • Must have 4-5 years experience in financial audit, preferably with clients in the real estate or financial services industry
  • 2+ years' management experience 
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

After graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Kyle began his professional career working in accounting as an Assistant Controller and Controller for several companies in the surf industry. After a number of years working in accounting, he became an entrepreneur and developed two successful coffee-house locations in Orange County where he was the CFO (and head barista).

In 2003 Kyle again shifted his career and became a financial recruiter in the Bay area with a large national staffing company where he was responsible for building successful recruiting teams.  Kyle joined Alliance Resource Group in 2009 as a Recruiting Manager.

Kyle is a proud parent of two girls, Maya and Sage, whom are attending college in San Francisco, CA and Paris, France. In his spare time, Kyle loves to fire up the BBQ after a good surf session.
