Job Description

Job Title: Head of Family Office (Accounting Services)
Company: Multi-Family Office 
  Key Responsibilities Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of family office accounting services across a portfolio of UHNW clients and complex entity structures.

  • Set the operating cadence for monthly/quarterly closes, reporting timelines, and client deliverables; ensure consistent quality and responsiveness.

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex accounting issues, reconciliations, and service delivery challenges.

  • Partner with relationship managers/advisors to align accounting deliverables with broader wealth planning, cash management, and reporting needs.
Accounting, Reporting & Controls

  • Oversee general ledger operations and financial reporting for multiple entities including partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and private foundations.

  • Ensure accurate cash reporting, reconciliations (bank/brokerage/credit card), intercompany activity, and supporting schedules.

  • Establish and maintain policies and controls for bill pay, approvals, wires, and sensitive transactions; manage audit trails and documentation.

  • Review and approve financial statements, management reports, and customized client reporting packages.

  • Coordinate with tax teams (internal or external) to ensure clean tax-ready books, timely K-1 support, and effective year-end planning.

    Team Building & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team; set clear expectations, career paths, and performance metrics.

  • Support hiring and staffing plans as the platform grows; ensure appropriate leverage and coverage.
