Overview:
ARG is seeking a skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our team on a contract basis for 4-6 months, working with a highly reputable company in Irvine. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in finance, data analysis, and system integration, preferably with large company experience. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise in SAP BPC/EPM, solid financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis using key financial indicators and business drivers to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and review management reports, contributing to continuous improvement by streamlining reporting processes and increasing efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and various ad hoc analyses.
- Think conceptually and analytically about the impact of operations on financial results, identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve department goals, leading initiatives while maintaining effective business relationships.
Technical Skills Required:
- Intermediate knowledge of SAP BPC/EPM (required).
- Basic Excel modeling and data analysis skills.
- Experience with system integration.
- Basic project management skills.
Finance Skills Required:
- Understanding of compensation and benefits.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Soft Skills Required:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective collaboration and team player mentality.
- Storytelling skills to convey financial insights compellingly.
- Ability to navigate and work through ambiguity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. An MBA is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP, required.
