Job Posting: Interim Financial Planning Analyst (Contractor)

Overview:
ARG is seeking a highly skilled Interim Financial Planning Analyst to join our team on a 4-month contract, working with a prominent company in Irvine. This interim role is designed for a professional who can quickly adapt to support financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning initiatives during this period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support business forecasting, budgeting, Strategic Plan development, KPI development, and sales analytics during this interim period.
- Prepare and present executive-level management reports, including variance analysis against plan/budget.
- Automate and improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with leaders across the company to contribute to strategic planning efforts and influence positive decision-making in this interim capacity.
- Support monthly business review KPI reporting.
- Create financial models to predict growth and forecast performance.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with Quality System procedures and company policies.
- Review accounting transactions to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with the maintenance of the financial information system (Planful) with monthly updates.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Tableau® or other BI software is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, or budgeting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage deadlines effectively, particularly in an interim role.
- High degree of sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated detail-oriented work ethic.
