Job Description

Alliance Resource Group is partnered with a leading, publicly traded tech company who is looking to bring on a Manager of Reporting and Technical Accounting. 
The Reporting and Technical Accounting function is responsible for external financial reporting, including periodic regulatory filings, quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and various financial reports. This role also serves as an internal consulting function to address complex transactions and accounting issues. 
Essential Functions:
  • Manage periodic regulatory filings, including the preparation of financial statements, related notes, and other disclosures.
  • Prepare financial statements and presentations for quarterly earnings releases and file relevant reports.
  • Review and finalize financial disclosures for proxy statements.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of financial statements for employee benefit plans.
  • Oversee accounting for capital structure, including debt and equity.
  • Manage accounting for equity compensation plans.
  • Monitor and research new accounting standards, summarize key impacts, and lead process changes as needed.
  • Analyze complex transactions, apply accounting standards, develop solutions, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as General Accounting, IT, Treasury, Legal, Internal Audit, and Real Estate Operations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure an efficient audit process.
Experience / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification.
  • 4+ years of experience in complex accounting, including regulatory reporting and GAAP.
  • Proven leadership experience in guiding finance professionals through complex projects.
  • Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
  • Experience with financial reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior executives and business leaders.
  • Ability to drive innovation and process improvements.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
