Job Description


Role: Payroll Compliance Supervisor (Certified Payroll)

Long Beach, CA (onsite)

Our client is a growing construction subcontractor supporting projects across oil & gas, transportation, government, and commercial infrastructure.

They are looking to add a full-time Labor Compliance Supervisor responsible for labor compliance company wide, ensuring compliance with local and federal labor agreements, and handling union contract terms.

Responsibilities
  • Handle complex prevailing wage issues and/or investigations with third parties
  • Interpret and understand contract requirements as it pertains to all State and Federal Prevailing Wage projects
  • Strong experience with online certified payroll systems
  • Complete necessary certified payroll documents such as fringe benefit statements, employee information sheets, deduction authorizations, etc.
  • Identify compliance deficiencies, document findings, and initiate corrective action through formal follow-up
  • Ensure all projects are fully compliant prior to final payroll approval and project closeout
  • Manage compliance-related correspondence, including deficiency notices, corrective action requests, and follow-up communications

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll, labor compliance, or construction payroll administration required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience encompassing certified payroll and prevailing wage for multiple projects/customers
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and take on new responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
