Location: Hybrid - Orange, CA
Contract: 3-4 weeks, up to 40 hours per week
Overview: We are looking for an experienced Payroll Implementation Specialist to assist in the transition from ADP Workforce Now to Workday during a short-term contract. The ideal candidate will manage the parallel testing phase, ensuring accurate data migration, payroll processing, and reporting validation. This is a fast-paced project, requiring someone with hands-on experience in both systems to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Migration and Verification
- Extract data from ADP Workforce Now and manage the migration to Workday.
- Perform thorough data accuracy checks to ensure that employee information, pay rates, benefits, and tax details are correctly transferred and aligned between the systems.

Running Parallel Payroll Cycles
- Conduct simultaneous payroll processing in both Workday and ADP Workforce Now over several pay cycles.
- Compare payroll results (gross pay, net pay, taxes, and deductions) between both systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Validation of Reporting
- Generate payroll reports from both ADP and Workday, including payroll registers, tax filings, and compliance documentation.
- Audit and reconcile reports to ensure that Workday meets all organizational and compliance requirements.

Testing Payroll-Specific Functions
- Test key payroll functions in Workday, including benefits, time and attendance tracking, and tax calculations.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies between ADP and Workday outputs.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll implementation, with a strong focus on parallel testing for Workday and ADP Workforce Now.
- Proven ability to handle data migration, payroll processing, and report validation.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently within a short-term contract and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in system migrations or implementations within large organizations.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, benefits, and timekeeping in Workday.
