Job Description

Summary
Our client is looking for an ambitious degreed accountant with 1-2 years of professional experience in GL and accounts receivable. This is a great opportunity to expand your experience in corporate accounting. The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail and organization skills with excellent communication and technical skills. This individual must have the ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support full cycle accounts receivable process for property accounting
  • Assist with the quarterly close and reforecast cycle:
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations 
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Prepare variance analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Assist in the preparation for the year end audit.
  • Prepare annual reporting for third party entities.

 
Knowledge/Experience
  • 1-2 years of general accounting experience supporting corporate entity 
  • Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Industry experience is a plus.
  • MRI a strong plus

Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness

Must adapt to change and be flexible

Must be highly customer oriented and responsive with a great need for closure

Demonstrate initiative – ability to think and work independently as well as work in teams            

Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines

Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
