We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Recognition Manager to join our finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and overseeing the company’s revenue recognition policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with accounting, FP&A, sales, and legal teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and drive process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the company's revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP.
Review customer contracts and sales agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
Partner with sales, legal, and operations to structure contracts in a way that aligns with revenue policies.
Prepare and analyze revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Develop and maintain revenue policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Support external audit requests related to revenue recognition.
Lead system and process improvements to enhance revenue recognition efficiency and accuracy.
Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes related to revenue recognition.
Stay current on accounting guidance and regulatory changes impacting revenue recognition.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within a public company or Big 4 accounting firm.
Strong understanding of ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
Excellent communication and business partnership skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SaaS, technology, or healthcare industries.
Background in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm experience a plus).
Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls related to revenue recognition.
