SEC Reporting Accountant

Job Description
ARG is partnered with a publicly traded retail/restaurant company in their search for a SEC Reporting Analyst. Supporting the Director, this role will support SEC reporting, lead technical research on new accounting issues, and support SOX compliance.
Duties:

- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including form 10-Q/K, 8-K, earnings release, proxy statement and other miscellaneous filings as required in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations as well as research and propose company positions on new accounting pronouncements
- Ensure SOX compliance
- Assist in managing the external audit
- Participate with the implementation of new accounting and reporting guidance, including technical accounting research and design of new processes

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- Experience with SEC reporting required
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting regulations
