THE OPPORTUNITY
Client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this position supports the monthly close process, analyzes, and reconciles GL accounts, and participates in assigned audit responsibilities. The Senior Accountant position requires analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close responsibilities in a timely fashion.
This position is on a hybrid schedule, a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The location for this role is in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee completeness and accuracy of all journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses as assigned by the Vice President of Finance.
- Serve as project lead, as necessary, and ensure proper preparation and documentation of related journal entries.
- In connection with month-end closing, ensure accuracy of foreign currency adjustments, elimination entries, and expense allocations as appropriate.
- Develop new procedures to shorten the current closing process.
- Actively contributes to the development of global accounting policies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Actively participates in year-end audits, including preparation of audit support schedules and related requests.
- Research and resolve accounting issues.
- Assist with ERP implementation.
- Assist FP&A Manager with the month end reporting and analysis process, including the preparation and review of profit and loss statements and KPIs to ensure overall accuracy of the reports.
- Perform monthly variance analysis of actual to budget and/or forecast results for monthly deliverables to senior management.
- Other ad hoc analysis and project work as assigned by the VP Finance, CEO or COO, including support for board meetings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics required.
- 3+ years’ experience in finance or accounting.
- Demonstrated experience working with all levels of management.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Great communication skills to effectively partner and collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams on a frequent basis to understand requests and deliver results.
- Process driven with excellent work ethic and ability to make sure tasks are on track and delivered on time.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Active CPA license.
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Open-minded and flexible/adaptable to change.
- Growth-minded with a passion for accepting new challenges and picking up new skills.
