Senior Reporting Analyst Â
Our client is a Global Investment Firm and this role will have exposure to Corporate Accounting, FP&A and Treasury! The role will be based at the company's Orange County headquarters and report to the Director of Accounting.Â
What you'll do:
- Assist with the Company’s domestic and international financial reporting, monthly close and investor reporting process including: consolidation of financials by region and product line, preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation of key, high risk accounts.
- Review journal entries and reconciliations of staff accountant(s)
- Lead and develop the accounting staff to help them reach their potential
- Own and support the timely and accurate recognition of revenue related to revenue stream during the monthly close process meeting all deadlines.
- Analyze and research accounting matters, providing accurate and comprehensive documentation of issues identified and resolutions reached.
- Assist in developing and documenting key controls of revenue-related policies and procedure, such as order to cash cycle, accurate GAAP reporting and audit requirements in accordance to ASC 605 and ASC 606

The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in accounting with minimum of 2 years of progressive public accounting experience (Big 4 highly preferred)
- Strong foundation and knowledge of US GAAP
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to rapid change
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-based approach required
- Advanced Excel skills

Kyle Sakata
Recruiting Manager
Born in Hollywood and raised in Los Angeles, Kyle was destined to be a star. When that did not work out, he did the next best thing and became a recruiter. After graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Kyle began his professional career working in accounting as an Assistant Controller and Controller for several companies in the surf industry. After a number of years working in accounting, he became an entrepreneur and developed two successful coffee-house locations in Orange County where he was the CFO (and head barista).
In 2003 Kyle again shifted his career and became a financial recruiter in the Bay area with a large national staffing company where he was responsible for building successful recruiting teams. Kyle joined Alliance Resource Group in 2009 as a Recruiting Manager.
Kyle is a proud parent of two girls, Maya and Sage, whom are attending college in San Francisco, CA and Paris, France. In his spare time, Kyle loves to fire up the BBQ after a good surf session.
