COMPANY OVERVIEW
Alliance Resource Group is partnered with a global CPG and growth-oriented organization who is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. The role will be responsible for month-end processes, support tax and compliance requirements, and deliver analysis that informs business decisions.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant will lead month-end close activities and financial reporting for assigned entities. This role records and analyzes transactions in accordance with US GAAP, supports tax and audit activities, and partners with teams and corporate functions to improve processes and controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and execute monthly close for assigned entities. Prepare and post required journal entries.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding variances.
  • Perform P&L variance and trend analysis and provide actionable commentary to management.
  • Prepare and support periodic tax filings and local compliance requirements in coordination with tax advisors.
  • Serve as primary accounting liaison to assigned entities, vendors, legal, and service providers for invoicing, payments, and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for customs/clearance documentation and regulatory renewals (licenses, permits, insurance).
  • Assist with external and internal audits. Prepare schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain and document accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and system/process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure controls and documentation meet corporate policies and GAAP requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 4+ years of accounting/finance/audit experience, preferably with exposure to multinational operations.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with cross-border teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Experience with large ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with consolidation and reporting tools a plus.
