Job Description


ARG has partnered with a pre-IPO insurance company in search of a superstar Senior Accountant. This is a full remote role and is an excellent opportunity to join a growing dynamic team. The team has a phenomenal culture of highly intelligent, yet humble, fun, and interactive team members. This hire is key as the company prepares for IPO by end of the year. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Heavy General Ledger
  • Prepare and evaluate monthly commissions
  • Assist in Month-end and quarter-end close, including general ledger and operational accounting support, consolidation among multiple software platforms, journal entries, account reconciliations.
  • AP/AR (with particular emphasis to resolve open items and design operational improvements), fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and other daily, monthly, and quarterly operational duties at a PCAOB standard.
  • Prepares and post journal entries, including heavy intercompany, recurring, and month end journal entries.
  • Perform cash management duties, including wire/ACH transfers, cash and EFT deposits, funds transfers.
  • Support other priority requests, duties or projects as requested.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Understanding of current GAAP standards
  • Big 4 experience is highly preferred
  • Public company experience highly preferred
  • Degree preferred in accounting or related field
  • CPA highly preferred
