Job Description

SUMMARY
Alliance Resource Group is partnered with a rapidly growing, privately held insurance brokerage that has expanded nationally through an active acquisition strategy. The firm is backed by institutional capital and supports agency owners and producers across the country.

This fully REMOTE role leads the Agency Bill and Direct Bill accounting functions, managing a team of managers accountable for cash receipts, carrier payments, and commission processing. The Senior Manager owns the accuracy and integrity of these transactional cycles along with their downstream General Ledger impact, including trust cash, operating cash, premium receivables, carrier payables, commission revenue, and related suspense accounts. This is an operationally minded accounting leadership role that requires command of both the transactional processes and their financial statement implications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead onshore and offshore Agency Bill and Direct Bill accounting teams through a layered management structure.
  • Oversee the end-to-end Agency Bill and Direct Bill accounting cycle, including cash receipts, carrier payments, and commission processing.
  • Own completeness and accuracy of GL balances generated by Agency Bill and Direct Bill activity, including trust and operating cash, premium receivables, carrier payables, and suspense accounts.
  • Partner with the Financial Reporting team on monthly flux analysis and coordinate support for quarterly and annual external audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls across operational accounting workflows.
  • Serve as the operational accounting lead for newly acquired agencies, guiding them through integration into standard Agency Bill and Direct Bill processes.
  • Support system conversions while maintaining business continuity across billing and commission processes.
  • Drive accounting transformation initiatives, including adoption of AI and automation tools, and strengthen collaboration with Producers and Account Managers.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with a demonstrated track record of career advancement.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of people management experience.
  • Experience managing blended onshore and offshore teams, including managers overseeing clerical staff.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and implementing process improvements and internal controls.
  • Experience coordinating external audit support.
  • Comfortable in a full remote environment.
