Senior Finance Coordinator - Clinical Trials
Job Description
The Sr. Clinical Research Finance Coordinator supports the Clinical Research Office and with minimal direction and considerable use of independent judgment, the Sr. Clinical Research Finance Coordinator will utilize financial concepts, communication skills, and experience/knowledge of the clinical research enterprise to provide clinical research finance services. This role will support the development of projects and processes from study initiation through completion by collaborating with investigators and other stakeholders.Â
Essential Duties:
-The Sr. Clinical Research Finance Coordinator assist with staff training, works closely with the finance team maintaining Contract and Budget Amendments, assist with Oversight of the invoice process for Phase 1 research, developing Internal budgets, tracking invoicing and study payments.Â
-Works efficiently to ensure accounts are worked thoroughly and within a timely manner.Â
-Assists department, service line, or strategic focus area with administrative and financial activities associated with research or other sponsored projects.Â
-Assists with budget-to-actual analyses and financial projections.Â
-Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks for study fund accounts.Â
-Performs other duties as assigned.Â
-Assist with financial projects and is a resource of many Financial Clinical Research aspects.
Skills:Â Â Â Required Skills & Experience:Â
-Minimum of five plus (5+) years of  accounting experience within clinical research.
-This position will require excellent communication and organizational skills, and solid foundational, financial, and operational knowledge in clinical research.Â
-Experience with budgeting for clinical research.
-Experience with start ups.
-Experience with budget negotiations.Â
-Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, accounting software, and excellent with databases.Â
-Ability to work accurately in a high-volume processing environment under pressure and on deadline.Â
Preferred Skills & Experience:Â
-Knowledge in EPIC, Velos and Lawson preferred.
Education:Â Â Â Required Education:
-Bachelor's Degree required.Â

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience in a related field and minimum of two plus (2+) years clinical research experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Senior Finance Coordinator – MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
5+yrs experience
Solid exp. budgeting for clinical research
Exp with startups
Experience with budget negotiations
Very professional communication, as will represent institution during negotiations and work with outside sponsors
High attention to detail, will view 100’s of line items
Healthcare exp. with larger organization and also a mid-size private organizations should only be considered due to the larger volume
Regarding department supporting: Â Cancer trials account for approx. 70% of trials. Also support GI, Cardiac, Diabetes and Neurology
