Senior HR Generalist

Job Description
Areas of responsibility:
- Payroll - Perform full-cycle payroll processes, including running biweekly payroll and weekly commission payroll for approximately 50 employees. Process manual checks, special pays, gross-ups, and corrections/adjustments. Manual calculations required.
- Benefits - Administer employee benefits program, including enrollments and changes. Take active role in annual benefits renewal process.
- Labor laws- Stay in tune with CA state laws
- Leaves - Manage employee leave requests and ensure compliance with FMLA, CFRA, and other applicable laws.
- Employee documentation - Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Employee Relations: Provide employees with timely responses to general HR questions, connect employees with resources and key contacts to resolve issues. Assist with employee terminations.
- Ability to deal confidentially with sensitive information.
- Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including organizational charts, policies and procedures and employee handbooks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or combination equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws.
- 5 years+ HR Generalist experience
- Organized, detail oriented, strong communication skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines, willingness to take on additional tasks as needed commensurate with a small team environment
