Job Description

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a privately held REIT looking to add a Senior HR Generalist to their team. This role will be responsible for all HR functions for the company.

Areas of responsibility:

Payroll - Perform full-cycle payroll processes, including running biweekly payroll and weekly commission payroll for approximately 50 employees. Process manual checks, special pays, gross-ups, and corrections/adjustments. Manual calculations required.
Benefits - Administer employee benefits program, including enrollments and changes. Take active role in annual benefits renewal process.
Labor laws- Stay in tune with CA state laws
Leaves - Manage employee leave requests and ensure compliance with FMLA, CFRA, and other applicable laws.
Employee documentation - Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
Employee Relations: Provide employees with timely responses to general HR questions, connect employees with resources and key contacts to resolve issues. Assist with employee terminations.
Ability to deal confidentially with sensitive information.
Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including organizational charts, policies and procedures and employee handbooks.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or combination equivalent work experience.
Working knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws.
5 years+ HR Generalist experience
Organized, detail oriented, strong communication skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines, willingness to take on additional tasks as needed commensurate with a small team environment
