Senior IT Auditor
Job Description
The Senior IT Auditor will play a critical role in assessing the design and effectiveness of the organization's IT controls, focusing on systems, processes, and controls related to enterprise applications. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements, assess risks, and provide recommendations to enhance the company’s IT control environment.
Essential Functions:
- Audit Planning and Execution:
- Plan and perform IT audits, including system reviews, general IT controls (GITCs), application controls, and IT-dependent manual controls.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize IT audit areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CPA) preferred.
- 2+ years of IT audit experience, preferably with a publicly traded company or Big 4 consulting firm.
- Proven experience auditing large enterprise systems
- Strong knowledge of IT auditing standards, frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001), and SOX requirements.
- Expertise in SAP security, GRC, and controls implementation.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex IT environments and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques is a plus (e.g., ACL, IDEA, or SAP Analytics Cloud).
