Job Description

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a leading consumer goods company who is looking to bring in a Senior IT Auditor to assist them with the continued expansion of IT audit related responsibilities within the company, which includes a future system upgrade that has already been targeted.

The Senior IT Auditor will play a critical role in assessing the design and effectiveness of the organization's IT controls, focusing on systems, processes, and controls related to enterprise applications. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements, assess risks, and provide recommendations to enhance the company’s IT control environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Audit Planning and Execution:
  • Plan and perform IT audits, including system reviews, general IT controls (GITCs), application controls, and IT-dependent manual controls.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize IT audit areas.
  • SOX Compliance:
  • Test IT controls, including access management, change management, and system operations, in compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Collaborate with business units to remediate identified deficiencies and improve control effectiveness.
  • SAP System Expertise:
  • Evaluate the design and operation of key SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, HR).
  • Assess system security roles, segregation of duties (SoD), and sensitive access risks.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, and Operations, to provide insights and recommendations for improving IT processes and controls.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise audit reports to senior management and the Audit Committee.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, IT audit practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Drive process improvements within the IT audit function and support the implementation of best practices.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Advanced degree or certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CPA) preferred.
    • 2+ years of IT audit experience, preferably with a publicly traded company or Big 4 consulting firm.
    • Proven experience auditing large enterprise systems
    • Strong knowledge of IT auditing standards, frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001), and SOX requirements.
    • Expertise in SAP security, GRC, and controls implementation.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex IT environments and provide actionable recommendations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques is a plus (e.g., ACL, IDEA, or SAP Analytics Cloud).
