We have recently partnered with a real estate management and development company, which specializes in office, retail and commercial real estate in throughout the United States
Our client has an immediate opening in their Newport Beach office for a Senior Property Accountant. This position will focus primarily on the accounting and financial reporting functions for the operating and development properties. This person would be overseeing the accounting for over a dozen properties at a time.
Such responsibilities include:
- Processing of Cash Receipts and management of tenant collections
- Bank Reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations,
- Month-end close procedures,
- Budget to actual analysis,
- Preparation of periodic financial statements,
- Assist in annual CAM and operating expense recovery reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining lease files
- Processing of lease set-up in the system
- Financial analysis, modeling and projections
- Participate in various other special projects, including assistance with construction draw packages, assistance with real estate transactions and loan transactions
Required Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting preferred
- 5+ years experience
- Extremely organized and capable of functioning in a fast paced and changing environment
- Prefer experience with a commercial real estate or similar organization
- Prefer experience with MRI or Yardi software
- Significant expertise in Microsoft office applications, especially in Microsoft Excel
- High energy, self-starter, and a strong desire to be constantly challenged
- Strong communication skills are a must

Born in Hollywood and raised in Los Angeles, Kyle was destined to be a star. When that did not work out, he did the next best thing and became a recruiter. After graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Kyle began his professional career working in accounting as an Assistant Controller and Controller for several companies in the surf industry. After a number of years working in accounting, he became an entrepreneur and developed two successful coffee-house locations in Orange County where he was the CFO (and head barista).
In 2003 Kyle again shifted his career and became a financial recruiter in the Bay area with a large national staffing company where he was responsible for building successful recruiting teams. Kyle joined Alliance Resource Group in 2009 as a Recruiting Manager.
Kyle is a proud parent of two girls, Maya and Sage, whom are attending college in San Francisco, CA and Paris, France. In his spare time, Kyle loves to fire up the BBQ after a good surf session.
