Job Description
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP and on time according to our established schedule
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to management’s attention
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
- Reconcile cash and bank statement monthly
- Prepare monthly accruals
- Maintain worksheets to support financial transactions and analysis of various expenses
- Identify and amortize prepaid invoices
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Support annual CPA engagements including ensuring timely receipt of all information requested
- Prepare property tax returns in a timely manner
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
Senior Staff Accountant qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in accounting
- Excellent Excel proficiency
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational ability
- Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the “why”
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
- Effective corporate communications skills
- Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
- Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. ERP experience is required (not QuickBooks)
