Exciting opportunity to join a growing, publicly traded tech company in Irvine. Position will focus on ASC 740 providing  tax compliance, and tax planning for the client. 

Job Description – Sr. Tax Analyst
Provide tax compliance, and tax planning for the client, and related companies. Ensures timely and accurate filing of Federal and State income tax returns and support the tax provision process. Identifies and conducts research around tax issues. Communicates with taxing authorities, where assigned, and internal Finance departments in support of the ongoing tax processes and issues.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Responsible for the preparation of the federal and state income and franchise tax returns, estimated payments, and extension calculations for the consolidated group of companies
* Responsible for assimilating and reviewing company' s financial information in the preparation of Schedule M calculations, state modifications and state apportionment schedules
* Responsible for the preparation of annual 1099 IRS compliance and work closely with accounting to ensure proper W-9 or required tax documents are maintained
* Responsible for maintaining tax software (BNA fixed asset depreciation system)
* Assist in the gathering and preparation of documentation related to the company' s income tax provision (ASC 740)
* Assist in the gathering and preparation of the documentation for the annual R&D Tax Credit
* Assist in the process of tax audits with various external auditors and tax advisors, federal, state, and local governmental agencies
* Assist in the preparation of tax journal entries
* Correspond with taxing authorities to resolve tax notices
* Research federal, state, and local laws & regulations and proactively monitor legislative changes
* Assist with documenting key controls for tax department internal control requirements.
* Assist with other ad hoc projects on an as needed basis

* Ability to research and interpret various federal and state tax law

* Possess strong writing and oral presentation skills
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Hands-on, teamwork orientation; ability to work effectively as part of a team

Credentials and Experience
* 5+ years of federal and multi-state corporate income tax experience in a corporate tax or similar experience with a major accounting firm required
* Experience with OneSource or other tax compliance software required
* Experience in ASC 740 (FAS 109), ASC 740-10 (FIN 48) preferred
* Experience with SAP preferred
* Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation
* CPA or MBT a plus
