Job Description

Summary
Our client is looking for an ambitious degreed accountant with 1-2 years of professional experience in GL and accountant payable. This is a great opportunity to expand your experience in corporate accounting. The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail and organization skills with excellent communication and technical skills. This individual must have the ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support full cycle accounts payable process for Corporate entity
  • Assist with the quarterly close and reforecast cycle:
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations 
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Prepare variance analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Assist in the preparation for the year end audit.
  • Prepare annual reporting for third party entities.

 
Knowledge/Experience
  • 1-2 years of general accounting experience supporting corporate entity 
  • Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Industry experience is a plus.
  • MRI a strong plus

After graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Kyle began his professional career working in accounting as an Assistant Controller and Controller for several companies in the surf industry. After a number of years working in accounting, he became an entrepreneur and developed two successful coffee-house locations in Orange County where he was the CFO (and head barista).

In 2003 Kyle again shifted his career and became a financial recruiter in the Bay area with a large national staffing company where he was responsible for building successful recruiting teams.  Kyle joined Alliance Resource Group in 2009 as a Recruiting Manager.

Kyle is a proud parent of two girls, Maya and Sage, whom are attending college in San Francisco, CA and Paris, France. In his spare time, Kyle loves to fire up the BBQ after a good surf session.
