Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our corporate tax team. This role will focus on domestic tax provision and compliance, ensuring the company meets all regulatory requirements and efficiently manages its tax obligations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Tax Provision and Reporting:
    • Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
    • Ensure accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns.
    • Manage the preparation of tax-related financial statement disclosures.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for tax provision reviews and audits.
  2. Tax Compliance:
    • Oversee the preparation and filing of all domestic tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
    • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the company’s tax positions.
    • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities.
    • Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax issues.
  3. Process Improvement and Management:
    • Develop and maintain effective tax processes and controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Implement best practices and continuous improvements in tax provision and compliance processes.
    • Train and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
    • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in domestic tax provision and compliance, with a strong understanding of ASC 740.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
