Job Description

Role: Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager (Remote)

Our client is an Orange County based, full-service accounting firm that provides tax consulting, compliance, audit defense, FAS 109 and FIN 48 services for small to large business clients and their owners.
  Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and review of business, individual, and trust income tax returns and tax projections.
  • Provide tax planning and advisory support for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
  • Manage inbound and outbound international tax compliance and planning matters.
  • Prepare and review multi-state income tax returns and related filings.
  • Prepare and review income tax provisions and related financial statement footnote disclosures.
  • Analyze complex tax matters, research applicable tax authorities, and develop well-supported recommendations.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master of Business Taxation or similar degree
  • CPA certificate
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Big-4 or regional/local accounting firm as a tax professional
  • Talent for persuasively communicating verbally and in writing
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and ensure timely completion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and at least one income tax preparation program
  • Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to meet client deadlines and expectations
  • Ability to network and develop new business
  • Ability to bill clients timely and negotiate fair, profitable fee arrangements
