Vice President of Finance and Treasury for $100 million + Action Sports Company

We have partnered with a dynamic, fast-growing action sports company in their search for a talented financial executive.  This $100 million + company is growing aggressively both organically and through acquisition.  They boast a fantastic culture, a top-notch executive team and are extremely well capitalized.  This position will not only oversee global accounting, it will also oversee global FP&A and Treasury.  This is a great position for an A+ player that is ready to take their career to the next level and  be ready for a  CFO position within the next one to three years.

Reporting directly to the Global CFO, the VP of Finance and Treasury will be responsible for the following core functions within the Company:
  • Management of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of company' s consolidated financial statements
  • Management of the Company’ s FP&A function
  • Oversight of the accounting for the Company’ s Corporate Headquarters
  • Management of the Company’ s annual external audit
  • Management of the Company’ s consolidated US tax filings
  • Implementation, documentation, and maintenance of the Company’ s internal controls
  • Management of the Company’ s global treasury activities


Professional Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the diving industry and a deep technical knowledge and application of GAAP.   S/he should have experience leading a finance and operations team.   Additionally, s/he should be a self-starter that works proactively and communicates effectively with their leadership, their team, and their colleagues across the organization.

The VP of Finance and Treasury will have:
  • 10+ years of overall combined finance/accounting experience
  • Experience working in an Audit capacity at an accounting firm for at least 3+ years
  • “ Big Four” or national accounting firm audit experience is preferred
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Possess a Deep analytical capability
  • Minimum of two to five years working within FP&A
  • Exceptional work ethic and willingness to work “ after hours” to get the job finished
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex data in a concise and understandable manner
  • Strong presentation skills including the presentation of financial information to a non-financial audience
  • Experience presenting financial results to a Board of Directors a plus
  • History of strong ethical behavior a must
  • Strong GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
